Making Changes to Retirement Investment Accounts

This article explains how to make changes to retirement accounts on behalf of investors.

Updated over a year ago

Managers can now make changes to retirement account information, account owner information, and account custodian details associated with retirement investment accounts. This includes:

  • Account name

  • ERISA details

  • Retirement account type (traditional IRA, Roth IRA etc.)

  • Retirement account number

  • Account owner

  • Custodian details (address, name, EIN)

Please note that most account details cannot be updated after a pledge has been created or subscription documents have been sent to the investor. If you need to modify an account that has already made a pledge or received subscription documents, please contact our Support team.


Updating the Owner of a Retirement Account:

  1. Click Accounts from your manager dashboard

  2. Locate and click on the account that needs to be updated

  3. Click Edit on the Account Owner card

  4. Update the account owner by search for them by name or account number (M#)

  5. Click Save


Updating Retirement Account Details:

  1. Click Accounts from your manager dashboard

  2. Locate and click on the account that needs to be updated

  3. Click Edit on the Account information card

  4. Update the necessary details (account name, ERISA status, account type, retirement account number)

  5. Click Save


Updating Account Custodian Details:

  1. Click Accounts from your manager dashboard

  2. Locate and click on the account that needs to be updated

  3. Click Edit on the Custodian card

  4. Enter the new custodians details

  5. Click Save
