# Deleting An Investment Account

## This article explains how to delete an investment account.

Sometimes, it may be necessary to delete an investment account. This could be due to a wrong account type being created or if an investor decides to back out of investing. Accounts that have no investments, pledges, or any other associations can be removed from the Manager Dashboard.

To delete an account, follow the steps below:

1. Click **Accounts** from the Manager Dashboard
2. Locate and select the account that needs to be removed
3. Click **Delete Account**
4. Confirm the deletion by typing in **DELETE ACCOUNT** (must be in all Caps)
5. Click **Delete Account**

You cannot delete an account if it is a signer for an Entity/Trust, an owner of a Custodied account, or part of a Joint account.
