# Making Changes to an Existing Contact

## This article goes over how to edit the details of an existing contact.

You can update the information of any of your portal contacts by accessing the Contacts section on your dashboard.

1. Click **Contacts** from your dashboards menu
2. Select the contact that you need to make changes to
3. Click **Edit** from the contact information window
4. Make any necessary edits to the listed fields, such as the name, email, phone number, or other details.
5. Click **Save**

**Please keep in mind that the email address associated with a contact is the email address investors will use to login to the portal.**
